Caesarstone Kitchen Remodeling: The Los Angeles Owner’s Guide
A Caesarstone kitchen remodel in Los Angeles typically runs $16,520 to $53,100 installed, depending on the countertop square footage, cabinet scope, and whether the slab gets a full tear-out or a retrofit. We stock Caesarstone-compatible substrates, sink cutouts, and edge profiles, and we can match most existing slabs within one business day of a site visit. Most owners discover the need through a cracked corner, a seam that’s opened up, or a sink that’s started to pull away from the stone.
Which Caesarstone Models This Applies To
Caesarstone runs three main product lines that show up in Los Angeles kitchens: the Classic line (5141 Frosty Carrina, 5143 White Attica, 6380 Turbine Grey), the Supernatural line (5144 Dreamy Carrara, 5229 Cloudburst Concrete), and the Metropolitan line (5112 Cemento, 5103 Cloudburst). The slabs are 56.5 inches wide by 120 inches long, which matters when we’re matching an existing island because a seam placement from the original install may not translate to the new slab lot. Caesarstone now uses a quartz-porcelain hybrid in some Supernatural offerings, so if your existing stone feels noticeably different at the edge, that’s the reason. We’re an independent Los Angeles remodeling contractor, not a Caesarstone affiliate, which means we’ll tell you when a competitor’s Cambria or Silestone slab is the better color match rather than forcing the brand.
Signs Your Caesarstone Kitchen Remodel Is Failing

- Hairline cracks running from the sink corners. This is the most common failure we see in Los Angeles, where the house settles and the quartz has no give. It means the original installer cut the sink opening too tight to the edge or failed to account for cabinet deflection under load.
- Seams opening along the island or peninsula. Quartz expands and contracts with temperature. A seam that opens more than 1/16 inch usually means the stone was glued without enough seam supports, or the substrate beneath is shifting.
- Sink lip pulling away from the stone. The undermount adhesive is failing, often because the original install used construction adhesive instead of a two-part epoxy rated for quartz. If you can flex the sink by hand, the seal is gone.
- Dull patches or etching near the cooktop. Caesarstone is non-porous, so it doesn’t etch like marble, but abrasion from sliding pots can wear the finish. These patches get worse because the scratch catches more debris over time.
- Edge chipping along the overhang. A bullnose edge on a 1.5-inch overhang is the first thing to chip when a chair or cast-iron pan hits it. It’s cosmetic until it’s not, meaning the chip can propagate if left alone.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included
For a Caesarstone-focused kitchen remodel in Los Angeles, the installed price range breaks down this way: countertop replacement runs $2,360 to $7,670; a full new island is $3,540 to $11,800; cabinet installation adds $4,720 to $15,340; and a complete kitchen remodel lands between $16,520 and $53,100. The spread depends on slab square footage, edge profile complexity, whether cabinets get replaced or refaced, and whether we’re pulling permits. Our written quote is a flat price with a written scope and a written warranty, so the number you see is the number you pay. No change gets made without a signed change order, which is why our projects finish within a few percent of the agreed cost.
DIY or Call Us?

You can check a few things safely: run your fingernail along the seam to feel for an opening, look underneath the sink for any gap between the stone and the sink flange, and snap a photo of the Caesarstone label on the underside if it’s still there. Do not attempt to reglue an undermount sink yourself, because the sink is load-bearing and a failed adhesive means the sink can drop, which creates a much bigger repair. Do not attempt to grind or polish a cracked edge with a rental tool; quartz generates silica dust and the glass content will chip out rather than feather. If your seam is opening or your sink is moving, call us at (470) 298-9650 and we’ll schedule a site visit, measure twice, and send the written quote before any work starts.
FAQs
A properly installed Caesarstone kitchen remodel should last 20 to 25 years in Los Angeles before the stone shows meaningful wear, though seams and sink adhesives typically need attention at the 10 to 15 year mark because of the region’s temperature swings. We see most failures in homes built before 1980, where the foundation movement works against the rigid quartz. Call (470) 298-9650 and we’ll tell you what your stone actually needs, not what a sales script says.
A hairline crack at the sink corner can often be stabilized with epoxy and a support brace underneath, which we’ve done across Los Angeles County many times, but a crack that runs more than 6 inches or opens at the seam means the slab should be replaced, not patched. Quartz cannot be seamlessly repaired the way natural stone can, and a visible repair line will collect debris and darken over time. Call (470) 298-9650 for an honest assessment, either way the estimate is free.
Most Caesarstone countertop replacements in Los Angeles take two to three days: day one for template and tear-out, day two for fabrication, day three for install and sink reconnection. If we’re also replacing cabinets or moving an island, add four to seven days depending on scope. We’ll put the timeline in writing before you commit.
We don’t warehouse slabs, but we work directly with Caesarstone’s Los Angeles distribution yard, which means most Classic and Supernatural colors are available within five business days and some Metropolitan colors within seven. If you need an exact match to an existing slab, we’ll take a small sample from the underside during the site visit and match it against current lot stock.
