Blanco Kitchen Remodeling: The Los Angeles Owner’s Guide

Blanco kitchen remodeling in Los Angeles typically runs $16,520 to $53,100 installed, and the work usually spans two to six weeks depending on whether we’re replacing a failed sink, swapping cabinet fronts, or rebuilding the entire run. Most Blanco owners call us after a sink rim seal lets go, a cabinet hinge tears out of the particleboard, or a countertop seam opens up next to the Blanco basin. The first question is always the same: can you match my Blanco model, and what’s the real cost? We can, and we’ll put the number in writing before any tool comes off the truck.

Here’s the thing about Blanco. The company makes excellent sinks and faucets, but the cabinets and counters around them are usually a different manufacturer. So when a “Blanco kitchen” fails, the failure point is rarely the Blanco product. It’s the substrate around it, the install method, or a part that was never Blanco to begin with. That distinction changes what you should fix and how much it should cost.

Key Takeaways:

  • Installed Blanco kitchen remodeling work in Los Angeles: $16,520-$53,100 for a full kitchen; smaller scope repairs start lower.
  • Cabinet installation alone: $4,720-$15,340. Countertop installation: $2,360-$7,670. Backsplash: $945-$2,950.
  • Written price before work starts, every time. No change order, no change to the job.
  • Rowan Construction Group is an independent contractor. We’re not affiliated with Blanco, and we don’t need to be to fix what’s failing.

Which Blanco Models This Applies To

Blanco builds its kitchen catalog around sink series: the Silgranit composite lines (Diamond, Precis, Performa, Subline), the stainless steel Ikon and Culina series, and the ceramic Cerana line. If your sink is ceramic or Silgranit, the part that fails first is almost never the basin. It’s the mounting clips, the rim seal, or the countertop lip the sink hangs from. If you have an Ikon or Culina stainless sink, you’re more likely to see flex at the apron or a torn sound-dampening pad. None of these are reasons to replace the sink in most cases, but they do require knowing which Blanco generation you have.

The gotcha with Blanco is that older Silgranit models take a different basket strainer and mounting clip set than the 2020-and-newer lines, and mixing them cracks the rim. Check the model number stamped on the underside of the bowl. For cabinets, KraftMaid and Wellborn are the two lines we install most often next to Blanco sinks in Los Angeles because their sink base cabinets come with the right front-to-back depth for a 30-inch or 33-inch Blanco apron. Cambria and Silestone are the countertop brands we pair with Blanco in quartz applications.

OEM versus aftermarket matters here. For Blanco sink strainers, clips, and seals, OEM is worth the extra cost because the tolerances are tight and a generic strainer will sit proud of the bowl and trap water. For cabinet hinges and drawer slides, quality aftermarket hardware (Blum, Grass, Salice) often outlasts what came with the original cabinet and costs less than OEM cabinet parts. We’ll tell you which is which on the estimate.

Signs Your Blanco Kitchen Remodeling Is Failing

Signs Your Blanco Kitchen Remodeling Is Failing
  • Water staining or swelling at the sink rim. The seal between the Blanco basin and the countertop has separated. In Los Angeles, the seasonal humidity swings between the coast and the Valley make silicone lose adhesion faster than homeowners expect. This is a re-bed and re-seal job, not a sink replacement.
  • Cabinet door or drawer front sagging by an eighth-inch or more. The hinge or drawer slide has worn past adjustment. We see this constantly on knob-and-hinge cabinet lines built in the 2015-2020 boom. One hinge fails, the door torques, and the next hinge follows.
  • A crack running from the Blanco sink corner into the countertop. Especially common with stone tops where the installer notched the corner too tight to the sink opening. Thermal expansion does the rest. This means the countertop section needs to come out, not just be patched.
  • Silgranit discoloration that won’t clean off. Blanco Silgranit is non-porous, but aggressive cleaners (bleach, oven cleaner, drain acids) etch the surface. The stain is not stain, it’s surface damage. Sometimes it can be buffed. Sometimes the bowl is done.
  • Loose faucet or side spray that wiggles at the base. The mounting nut under the deck has backed off or the shank is cracked. On Blanco pull-down faucets, overtightening the hand-tighten nut is the usual cause. It cracks the plastic shank, and then the faucet never sits tight again.

Replacement Cost & What’s Included

Los Angeles pricing for Blanco kitchen remodeling runs on three tiers. A full kitchen remodel with Blanco sink, new cabinets, counters, and backsplash lands between $16,520 and $53,100. A smaller scope like a sink replacement with new countertop and backsplash runs $10,620 to $23,600. Single-component work is lower: cabinet installation at $4,720-$15,340, countertops at $2,360-$7,670, backsplash at $945-$2,950, and a kitchen island at $3,540-$11,800.

What drives the range in Los Angeles is mostly substrate condition and access. Older Los Angeles homes built before 1980 often hide water-damaged framing under the sink cabinet, and that framing has to be replaced before the new cabinet goes in. That’s a signed change order, and the customer approves every dollar before the work starts. Our written estimate includes parts, labor, demolition, disposal, the documented photo record, and a written warranty. Under Clause 1 of the Haven Standard, the price is written before anyone starts, and no change proceeds without your signature.

You can safely check a handful of things yourself. Look under the sink for water staining or soft cabinet floor material. Check the model number stamped on the Blanco basin. Test each cabinet door and drawer for sag or drift. Take clear photos. That’s the useful part of DIY.

What you should not do is pull a Blanco sink out of a stone or quartz countertop, attempt a rim re-seal without removing the top, or try to shim a failed cabinet box. Sinks weigh 40 to 60 pounds and the rim bonds are load-bearing. I’ve watched more than one basin drop when the last clip came off. That’s a broken toe, a cracked cabinet, or both. If the countertop has any crack near the sink, hire someone. The failure pattern only gets worse. Call (470) 298-9650 and we’ll schedule a look.
